ABOUT HOLISTIC MEDICINE

What is holistic medicine?

Holistic medicine is a philosophical approach to healthcare rooted in the understanding that a person’s health is impacted by their internal process, physiology, and through their interactions with the environment. Internal process and physiology include sleep, nutrition, exercise, personal philosophies, mental framework, inherited trauma, and emotions. The environment includes work, school, home, the quality of relationships that exist in all those areas as well as in the community; the culture, political, economic, and social systems we exist within, and the natural world. Holistic medicine is therefore a process that we embark upon, to identify and liberate ourselves from all the factors that keep us feeling stuck in health conditions that are limiting. Every person’s journey is unique, and this path requires trust and commitment to the process.
