Hip pain

There are multiple tissues and components involved in hip region pain, including the ilium of the pelvis, the hip rotator muscles, groin, sit bones, bursa and TFL. As the hip is the transitional region between the lower extremity and the spine, it is important to look at biomechanics above and below the hip to diagnose the pain-generating structure and the links that keep that dysfunctional pattern in play.

Consideration of the above structures in active motion, passive motion, identification of tightness, lack of mobility, inflammation, and hypermobility are all necessary to inform regions and methods used to treat the tissues and achieve fast and long-lasting results.
