Knee Pain

A common complaint, knee pain can result from a variety of causes including acute injury, overuse, and underlying conditions. The scope of knee pain diagnosis is very broad and includes conditions such as patellofemoral pain syndrome, IT band syndrome, meniscus tears, ligament sprains, muscle strains, and osteoarthritis.

The knee joint tends to compensate for lack of mobility in the ankle and hip regions and will also become symptomatic when there is poor motor control in the lower limb. A detailed history and physical exam help pinpoint the mechanism of injury and diagnosis to craft a custom treatment plan.
