LASER THERAPY

Ganglion Cysts

Ganglion cysts form most often in the wrists, hands, ankles, and feet, and typically develop from mechanical irritation of the areas which includes trauma, repetitive use, and chronic conditions like arthritis. Ganglion cysts can develop either from the joint or from the sheath that envelops a tendon; in both cases the cyst leads to restriction in motion, pain or stiffness.

Laser therapy serves to reduce the size of the cyst and heal the underlying injury, as there is a pre-existing ligament or tendon sheath tear which allows a cyst to form in the first place. Additionally, laser will help muscles and tendons return to optimal tissue integrity and extensibility.
