Back Pain

Back pain in kids is more commonly experienced in the mid-back though it can also affect the lower back. While posture can contribute to back pain it is often the result of a fall or collision. Kids are known to be very resilient when it comes to falls because their bones are not fully ossified, and they have a higher proportion of cartilage which provides greater flexibility and shock absorption compared to adults. This helps to cushion the impact during falls, however, as these forces are absorbed by the body, they can cause joints to become misaligned or "stuck," leading to pain and restricted movement.

Although your mini’s bones and tissues are more adaptable, repeated or significant impacts can still result in joints becoming stuck in a misaligned position, creating pain and restriction. Chiropractic care uses adjustments and myofascial release to reduce pain and restore mobility, adaptability, and resilience; typically, within one to three treatments kids are feeling like they are back to normal.
