I highly recommend Dr.Horsting; she will be very good at treating soft tissue injuries.

The round ligament is somewhat of a misnomer as it is comprised of mostly muscle! There are two round ligaments that run from the top of the uterus and attach to near the pubic bone; there is a third much larger ligament that connects the uterus to the walls of the pelvis and the pelvic floor.
As the baby grows the round ligaments are under more strain and they can cause discomfort in the spectrum of a low-grade ache to sharp and stabbing pain, particularly with sudden movement. Due to their connection to the structure of the pelvis when the pelvis is misaligned, this can add more stretch and stress on the round ligaments which leads to pain and spasm. Gentle adjustments to the spine and pelvis paired with myofascial release to support pelvic balancing help reduce additional strain on the ligaments and manages pain.
